I remember the first class in Wethersfield like it was last week.
Twelve children. Middle schoolers. Some of them walked in like they owned the room. Some of them walked in staring at the floor, clearly wondering why their parents had signed them up for this. And a few of them — the ones I always watch for — walked in quietly curious. Not sure what to expect. Not sure what they were capable of. But willing to find out.
By week eight those quiet curious ones were the ones jumping out of their seats.
The Hartford Courant was there to cover it. One student told the reporter simply: “He lets you be yourself.” That’s the whole philosophy in four words.

What We Built in Wethersfield
Those early Wethersfield classes became something the community counted on. Parents saw what was happening in their children. The confidence coming home. The stories about what they did in class. The excitement about what was coming next week.
One parent wrote to us about her daughter who had struggled deeply with self-esteem. She said performing arts had helped her child be proud of herself for the first time. She ended her letter with something I’ve carried with me for years: “It only takes one person to make a change in another’s life.”
That’s why I do this work. That’s why I’ve been doing it for over 30 years.
Wethersfield Families Today
If you’re a Wethersfield parent reading this, the same work that started here in 1997 continues today through Lamb Studios Online — private one-on-one coaching with me personally, online via Zoom, available to any child in Wethersfield from their own home.
For group classes check our current program offerings.
The trial lesson is $65, 45 minutes with me personally. If your child continues within 30 days that $65 goes toward the first month.

If Your Child Is That Quiet Curious One
You know the child I’m describing. The one who doesn’t quite fit the mold. Who feels things deeply and expresses them loudly at home but goes quiet in groups. Who has something inside them that hasn’t found its outlet yet.
Performing arts is that outlet. I’ve been watching it happen in communities like Wethersfield for 30 years. It never gets old.
